상판을 공중으로 떠받치고 있는 듯한 형상의 다이닝 테이블과 벤치, 의자 시리즈입니다. 이 컬렉션은 6인용으로 테이블과 벤치, 의자 3개로 구성되어 있습니다.

견고한 다리와 보강대, 두툼한 상판. 도톰한 두께임에도 가구가 둔탁해 보이지 않는 이유는, 각 구조체 사이 은근하게 드러나는 빈 공간 때문입니다. 가구 밑으로 들어가면 이러한 공간적 비움을 위해 만들어진 재미있는 연결 부위를 볼 수 있습니다. 사실, 이 구조는 목재라는 소재의 한계를 해결하기 위한 형태이기도 합니다.

 

“우리는  짜맞춤 구조를 디자인 디테일로 삼는 것을 좋아합니다. 목재가 아니라면 필요하지 않은 디테일이지요." 디자이너가 곧 제작자이기 때문에 목재의 수축/팽윤이라는 한계를 해결하는 방식을 디자인 디테일로 풀어냅니다. 플로팅 탑 테이블 컬렉션은 구조적 연결부에 짜맞춤 디테일을 넣어 수공예의 정수를 드러내고자 했습니다. 이 컬렉션의 여러 부분에서 슬라이딩 도브테일과 반다지 장부를 찾을 수 있습니다.

This is a series of dining tables, benches and chairs in the shape of supporting the top plate in the air. ​

This collection is for 6 people and consists of a table, bench and 3 chairs.

Despite sturdy legs, aprons and a thick top plate, the reason why the furnitures look light and simple is because of the empty space hidden between each structure. Go under the furniture and you'll see interesting connections made for this spatial emptiness. In fact, this structure is also a form to solve the limitation of the material of wood.

The Floating Top Collection brings the essence of craftsmanship into structural connections with wood joint details. We wanted to reveal : sliding dovetails and mortise & tenon joint can be found in various parts of this collection.
